Old Scout Hut Site Redevelopment Turned Down

Planning consent for the proposed development of nine new dwellings and relocation the old Scout hut has been declined.

In a comprehensive response, Chiltern District Council outlined many reasons why the site is unsuitable in the context of the present application.

It makes an interesting read and carries a footnote referring to section IV of the Town and Country Planning Act, whereby a landowner who has been refused permission may serve a purchase order on the District Council if the land cannot be put to reasonably beneficial use.

The response follows and the full list of documents can be viewed on the CDC website at https://isa.chiltern.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=OAPP8GESI0100
