It was a glorious day, a perfect summer’s afternoon in rural England. A small group assembled to see the reopening of the 105 year old gravediggers’ hut, retiring to the Bangay Rooms for tea and cake afterwards.
Lovingly restored and returned to its former glory, the hut presides over the burial ground at St George’s Church, Tylers Hill Road. Even the original lock has been reinstated, with a replacement key having been crafted to order.
